Knowledge of smoking in freshmen at a medical school *

A survey of knowledge of smoking among first-year students at Kawasaki Medical School was carried out. A total of 103 freshmen in the year 2000 class look a written test asking about knowledge of smoking before and after a leeture at the orientation meeting. They took the same test consisting of five questions one month later. The result of the three tests were evaluated and cmopared. Results suggested that giving a leeture on "smoking and health" at the orientation meeting was useful for students.
